Napoli Aquatica 2013 - The staff
I went to the fair at 8:30 in the morning, I looked around and thought that whoever would came after me would have found stands, structures of the contest, technical areas, people, gardens, aquariums full of wonderful creatures and would have thought that those things had always been there.
It was one of my strongest emotions become aware, instead, that everything I saw was not always there, it was not a magic snap fingers. By knowing the "behind the scenes" of the event and having experienced first hand the experience to see it physically builded up, I can say that everything that has been Napoli Aquatica 2013 was built piece after piece thanks to the efforts and abilities of people who has been feeling part of a project and not just employees.
I think that "passion" is the word that best represents NaQ2013, which has belonged to each and every member, from the first to the last day of work, and that sometimes has filled and reduced over the inexperience of some of us. Passion is also the feeling that I've seen in the hands of aquascaper, into the waiting of the competitors, into the eyes of the judges, in the words of the representatives of the company to the buyers ... passion for this wonderful world.
It is not always easy to coordinate the events, people, requests and situations and it is not always said that your willingness turn into a well done job. This is true for me to the role that was given to me with so much confidence by the "boss".... but if my contribution has helped minimally in the success of this event, I owe it to the professionalism of the others, to my colleagues Vitale, Rita, Attilio, Nicola, Lorenzo, Marco, Mirko and to the wonderful people I got to know.
The fact that Napoli Aquatica has reached an important level of professionalism may surprise some, used to think that people working in a context not just as easy as that Naples must necessarily produce less than perfect results. The work done shows, however, that precisely this context has represented the surplus needed to consecrate Napoli Aquatica as an event of international importance.
